Identification
Non-breeding: Upperparts grey-brown with black centres giving mottled look. Underparts white with grey-brown wash and black streaks. Small head, round belly and short rear-end. Long slim toes.
Breeding: Crown orange rufous with black streaks forming cap. Upperparts strongly patterned.
